Construction Jobs ♯ Director Facility Operations at Village Behavioral Health - February, 2022

Village Behavioral Health, an outdoor residential facility for adolescents, is currently recruiting for a Director of Plant Operations. This is a senior management position who is responsible for the overall maintenance of the buildings, grounds, fixtures and equipment of the facility.  Areas of responsibility include the following:  safety, security, maintenance, facilities and materials management, housekeeping and kitchen.

Essential functions include:

  • Oversee general building maintenance including: plumbing, carpentry, painting, roofing, minor repairs and electrical work.
  • Ensure preventative maintenance is completed on all equipment.
  • Ensure the facility is in a sanitary, attractive, safe, orderly condition, and in compliance with all regulatory standards.
  • Ensure proper operations and maintenance of various systems
  • Coordinate outside service vendors/contractors
  • Basic IT knowledge
  • Knowledge of Joint Commission standards 

Education/Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree required; master's preferred OR 2 years college level trade construction with a minimum 5 years of construction/maintenance experience OR minimum 10 years construction/maintenance supervisor experience
  • Ability to manage multiple vendors and employees
  • Previous healthcare/residential experience a plus
  • Valid Certified Maintenance Manager (CMM) is a plus
